Principal Practitioner Anissa Au

Ad Dip T.C.M., Dip Chinese Massage

Anissa has been practising since 2007 as a registered Chinese Medicine consultant. In our day and age where time is short and people are extremely busy, she believes that healing absolutely requires proactive, empathetic listening to understand the root cause of ailments, good communication to convey understanding, good knowledge of the craft, and a passion for healing.

The focus of each treatment is to address the manifesting symptoms, but to also look at the underlying cause. This is done through a mixture of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, massage, dietary and lifestyle advice. No two people can be treated exactly the same, and thus must be addressed differently.

We must treat each person as an individual with certain needs, and an amazing capacity to heal when given the right environment.

Pain Management

Pain comes from many sources and can affect any part of the body. We apply traditional practices which may help relieve and manage pain.

Women’s Health

It is not uncommon for women to have hormonal, menstrual or menopause issues disturbing their enjoyment of their daily lives. We take a holistic and cyclical approach, where appropriate, to a woman’s symptoms.

Pregnancy

We offer a range of traditional wholistic practices which may help to support you physically and emotionally during your pregnancy journey.

Cosmetic Acupuncture

We offer cosmetic acupuncture at our Cronulla acupuncture clinic. This practice is very popular with many women who visit our rooms. Cosmetic acupuncture involves incredibly fine needles being inserted into specific areas.

Wellness

Many people choose to have acupuncture and herbal medicine just to feel better. Chinese medicine sees treatments as a way to balance the functionof the body so that each component works well with each other. We tune our cars on a regular basis to run well, so acupuncture and Chinese herbs works in a similar way. If any one component in the car is not operating well, it has an effect on the whole car, and the way that it drives.

Similarly, we are influenced by many aspects in our lives including our environment, what we eat, how we sleep and so on. Expect a Chinese medicine consult to include dietary and lifestyle advice to support your constitution.
