How Acupuncture Can Work in Conjunction With IVF

Sutherland Shire IVF Acupuncture: What is it and how can it work for you.

Many women contact our Sutherland Shire IVF Acupuncture rooms with inquiries about receiving acupuncture as an adjunct to their IVF or IUI experience.

The practise has become so popular that there are several IVF acupuncture clinics situated in close proximity to fertility centres such as IVF Australia. In this post we hope to keep you informed how you can get the most out of your visit.

Women may chose to have acupuncture in the lead up to IVF transfer or, simply before and after the IVF transfer of the embryo.

Information to bring to our Sutherland Shire IVF acupuncture rooms

If you are having acupuncture in the lead up to IVF, be sure to know what your cycle is doing so that you can consult with an acupuncturist.

The little details such as frequency of menstrual cycle, colour of menstrual blood, and amount of bleeding are just some of the small details which may be used by the acupuncturist to determine your overall health.

Your period is like a monthly report card, so if you visit our Sutherland Shire IVF acupuncture rooms please bring this information in with you!

Better still, if you have been doing a BBT chart (Body Basal Temperature chart), this information can be invaluable. This type of information gives your health professional, a good idea as to how the hormones, and time of ovulation are going, in order to support your cycle.

If you are having acupuncture for the day of the transfer, it is best to do it as close as possible to the time of transfer. Usually, acupuncture treatments occur both before and after the transfer, which is why so many clinics have popped up around major IVF centres.

Here at Pure Alchemy, we offer support for IVF treatments. For bookings and inquiries, please contact us..

I am all about life, and how we can live as well as we can on this earth! I’ve always had a passion for natural health, after all, why not make use of its abundant resources. When I’m not at my acupuncture clinic in Cronulla, you’ll find me practising my Qigong, meditating, hiking in the wilderness or wild swimming. I also love spending time with a good book or enjoying hearty soul food with good company.
